The single most common pre-purchase question in this market is what you are allowed to do. This page answers it.
This is a plain-language summary written for an early-access platform. It is not a substitute for the full terms that will accompany a purchase.

A licence is a set of terms, not a name
Tiers like "Pro" and "Team" are names for combinations of independent terms: what you may build, how many people may use it, how long you hold it, and how long you receive updates.
Treating them as independent is why an educational team subscription is possible without inventing a new tier — the combination is a row in a table, not a code change.
The term and the update window are separate
The term answers "do I still hold a valid licence". The update window answers "am I still receiving new versions". Conflating them is the most common licensing mistake in this market.
A perpetual licence with a 12-month update window means you own forever what existed at month 12. Your software never stops working, and renewal is a choice rather than a condition.
Client work
From Pro upward, you may use a product on work you deliver to clients. You may not redistribute the product itself as a competing product, or resell it as a template.
If you are an agency evaluating this, the distinction that matters is: the output is yours, the input stays licensed to you.
Seats
A seat is a person, and seats are reassignable — with a short cooldown so that a team cannot cycle one seat between forty developers.
Enterprise licences are unlimited within the purchasing organisation.
